UNIVERSE LOST

Futuristic science-fiction. Space travel, aliens, and magic. Yup, I like to mix genres. Sue me. There are several works that take place in UL.

THE AGELESS
This idea has been living in my head since I wrote Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction. (Yes, I did. Don't look at me that way, you were stupid when you were a kid, too.) It has evolved many times, and this is, hopefully, the final evolution.

Humanity has reached the stars. We have discovered intelligent alien life -- or rather, it has discovered us -- and made peace with it. We have spread across a dozen planets, terraformed the land to fit us, and rediscovered something thought lost -- magic. To control the elements, to heal, to bring death where there was life and life where there was death -- some are born with it, and some are given it. Throughout all this, something out there has been watching us.

It doesn't like us very much.

TREPPENWITZ
Danel is a veteran who has left the war behind her. She and her small crew run supplies between the planet Cross and various others, and live a quiet life until they take on a passenger that is not entirely what he seems.

MARS-EARTH WAR
Mars has been colonized. The Martians believe they are ready to be independent from Earth and exist as their own entity, separate from the blue planet. Earth disagrees.

DOMEWORLD
One the planet Whatsit (haven't decided the name!), a terrible plauge wreaked chaos and destruction, wiping out three quarters of the population. The remainder locked themselves up in domes, to keep remainder healthy and safe. Not everyone made it inside.

Fifty years later, the people have almost forgotten what happened to them, but still live in fear of the outside. The government does not allow anyone to exit or enter the domes. One can travel between them, but never outside. Some people are starting to wonder if it's safe. Others are wondering why they are still locked inside. Still others believe that the plague was man made, a purposeful attempt to create the situation they live in now.
